i havent checked upon the usb version yet, but on the slitaz mailing list this message had just come a few days back . if you could try out with this and give feedback it would be great. i wont be touching usb atleast till the end of this month. below is the message
Here's a preliminary version of a SliTaz installer for Windows (based on
UNetbootin) for anyone that's interested; I believe it would be useful
to have on either the downloads page or in the handbook or documentation
as an easy way for Windows users to try out SliTaz without needing to
burn a CD.

Download:

Windows:
http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/unetbootin-slitaz-windows-latest.exe
Linux: http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/unetbootin-slitaz-linux-latest
Source: https://code.launchpad.net/~gezakovacs/unetbootin/devel-new

Usage Instructions:

To perform a Frugal Install, select “Hard Disk” under installation type;
to create a Live USB, select “USB Drive” under installation type.

More info: http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

Here it is.
http://www.vmware.com/appliances/directory/1317
on the next page they will ask you to give your name etc but there is an option to skip all that also. So click on that and just down it. You can use the free VMWARE player to check it out.
